Hartpury largely settled for Ampthill’s Friday night visit

Ahead of  the visit of Ampthill tomorrow, Hartpury have made a handful of changes, largely rotational, to the squad that put in a good effort at Nottingham two weeks ago.

Virtually all of the changes come in the forwards, where there is a first Championship start for BUCS Super Rugby team captain, Harry Wilson, on the blind-side flank.  Will Safe reverts to the second row, while Alex Gibson comes back into the line-up at tight-head.  Akapusi Qera starts at open-side, with Jack Preece moving to the bench.

Another student player, prop-forward Mitch Walsh, is included for his Championship debut from the bench and there is a return to the squad for Wasps’ dual registered flanker, Seb Curran.  Powerful centre Joe Margetts also returns, among the replacements.

Other than that, the squad remains extremely settled, with no changes in the starting back division.

Tomorrow night’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.
