Hartpury have named a strengthened side for the visit of Nottingham Rugby to the Gillman’s Ground tomorrow. This follows a less than impressive display in the recent B&I Cup fixture at home to Cornish Pirates.
Henry Purdy, made available by Gloucester, will be making his debut for Hartpury on the left wing and he is joined in the back three by club-mate Tom Hudson, who last appeared for Hartpury in the 2016-17 promotion season. Former England Under-20 international, George Perkins, continues on the right.
Tom Seabrook, another Under-20 man, joins the experienced Luke Eves in the midfield, outside the pairing of James Williams and the returning Callum Braley.
The tight five should more than hold their own. Former Gloucester props Dan Murphy – skipper tomorrow – and Rupert Harden start either side of Will Tanner, with BJ Edwards and Joe Quinn in the engine room.
Ex-student Will Safe makes a welcome return in the back row, alongside regulars Rob Langley and Darrel Dyer.
