Hartpury can name their final squad of the 2018-19 season, for the trip to Yorkshire Carnegie (Saturday, April 27, 3pm).
Having secured their Championship survival with last week’s good win over London Scottish, the Red & Blacks are keen to finish the campaign on a high and will be looking for their sixth win in eight matches.
The back division remains largely unchanged. Harry Cochrane is restored to the number 9 jersey, but otherwise it is the same line-up that took on the Exiles.
There is a debut among the replacements, where scrum-half Toby Venner sees his first opportunity in the Greene King IPA Championship. Although he was involved in a Championship Cup squad earlier in the season, this will be a first league appearance for the player who was a key part of Hartpury University’s recent BUCS Super Rugby triumph at Twickenham, scoring in the match versus Leeds Beckett.
The pack also has a fairly settled look. Jake Armstrong was a first-half replacement at tight-head last weekend and is a starter tomorrow, while Iain Grieve is another to swap the bench for a starting berth, at Number 8. Tom Dodd returns on the open-side, to complete a back-row which also includes Fijian legend, Akapusi Qera.
Mike Flook comes back in to provide front row cover on the bench, while hookers Luke Stratford and Will Tanner exchange shirts in a rotational change.
