Hartpury are able to name a largely unchanged squad ahead of tomorrow’s visit by Cornish Pirates.
Last week’s gritty win over London Scottish produced knocks for flanker Will Safe and tight-head Mike Daniels and they are the only changes from the previous starting fifteen.
Former Bristol, Plymouth and Ealing stalwart, Iain Grieve, was an early replacement for Safe against the Exiles and continues in the blind-side berth tomorrow. Another vastly experienced player, former Gloucester prop Rupert Harden, returns to replace Daniels and forms an all ex-Premiership (and ex-Gloucester) front row, alongside skipper Dan Murphy and former Pirate, Darren Dawidiuk.
The bench shows just one change from last week, where England Under-18 wing-forward, Aaron Hinkley, provides the back row cover.
There is still no return for injured centre, Steve Leonard, hooker Will Tanner, outside half James Williams or lock BJ Edwards.
This will be the fourth meeting of the season between these two clubs, who were also drawn together in the British & Irish Cup. Hartpury will be hoping to end the current trend of Cornish victories.
Kick off tomorrow is at the earlier time of 1pm and Hartpury RFC are hoping that spectators will later join the coaches and players to watch the England v Ireland 6 Nations fixture. A giant screen and an additional bar have been set up in the Sports Hall for the occasion.
Despite the forecast of falling temperatures and occasional rain throughout the week, decent conditions are expected for tomorrow’s game.
