Silent Auction

In conjunction with the home match vs Richmond, Hartpury is running a ‘silent auction’ to help raise funds for this season’s Under 18 rugby tours.

This is something that we started last year when our successful AASE lads were invited to take part in the inaugural World Schools Festival in South Africa, during which the 10 top South African rugby-playing schools were pitted against their counterparts from around the world.  The tour was a great success, with a couple of really tough matches and a great opportunity to explore Cape town and Table Mountain.

In 2019, we have once again been invited to participate and have decided to widen this opportunity by also sending a second tour to Ghent, Belgium, to allow even more lads the chance to travel and play abroad.

This is an experience that the players (and their parents) will largely be funding themselves.  However, we want to ensure that they can enjoy the experiences available to them on these tours and the auction will, hopefully, provide some of the the resources to enable this.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our alumni and friends, which means that we are able to auction the following:

  • A match-worn Wales international shirt (donated by Ross Moriarty – Dragons, Wales and British & Irish Lions)
  • An Italy Six Nations match shirt (donated by Sebastian Negri – Benetton Treviso and Italy)
  • An England 7s shirt (signed by the squad and donated by Dan Norton – the all time world record try-scorer)
  • A Saracens Premiership Final match shirt (donated and signed by Bazz Barrington, Prem and Champions Cup winner)
  • A signed Bath Rugby shirt (donated by former Hartpury RFC and England 7s man, Ruaridh Macconnochie)
  • A signed Northampton Saints shirt (kindly donated by Saints and former Bristol forward, Mitch Eadie)
  • A signed Worcester Warriors shirt (donated by our friends at Sixways)

You can bid for the item of your choice in person, at tonight’s game, or online by sending us a Direct Message via our Twitter or Facebook accounts (HartpuryRFC, in both cases).  You can also use the contact form on this website to send us your bid(s) for the item(s) of your choice.  The best bid will win the item – simple.

We thank you all for your continued support of rugby at Hartpury.
