There’s another massive game for Hartpury Under-18s first team tomorrow as they host Beechen Cliff from Bath with a place in the AASE League National Colleges final at stake.
Wayne Thompson’s team defeated Beechen Cliff fairly comfortably away from home earlier this season and, if they do the double, they will book their place in the final on Friday, December 2nd at Saracens’ Allianz Park.
The Under-18s will be bidding for their eighth successive AASE title – having won the competition every year since it began – and if they clinch the crown, they will certainly have done it the hard way.
This campaign has seen them battle back from 17 points down to beat Exeter away and then beat the same opposition by a point with a last minute penalty in last week’s thriller.
When you haven’t lost a game for more than two seasons and with all three of Hartpury’s senior sides – BUCS, AASE and RFC – all unbeaten so far this campaign, the Under-18s will be determined not to blemish their impressive record.
Beechen Cliff will go into the game with renewed confidence after beating Henley last week.
The match against Beechen Cliff will kick off at 2.30pm on the main pitch – go and show your support!
