Hartpury have again injected new blood order to find a winning formula in this season’s Championship fixtures.
The changes are all in the pack, as the Red & Blacks seek to counter the physical challenge presented by Saturday’s opposition, the Jersey Reds.
That means a first start for lock forward, Ehize Ehizode, newly arrived from Bristol Bears, at 6’ 5” and almost 120 kg, and a bench spot for his club colleague, hooker Beck Cutting. Luke Stratford will start in the middle of the front row against his ‘home-town’ club.
Tom Pashley, BUCS-winning skipper earlier in the year, also gets a start in the back row, trading places with James Stephenson who will add impact from the bench.
Rupert Harden and Joe Morris similarly swap places at tight-head, while Mike Flook gets a chance to impress off the bench, backing up Dan Murphy on the other side of the scrum.
The chances of rain on Saturday are relatively low, which will make a welcome change after four wet games out of seven so far.
Hartpury will feel that they need to get something out of this game, with only an away trip to Bedford to come before the Championship Cup takes over for six weeks in November and December.
Saturday’s game will kick off at 2.30pm.
