“Friday Night Lights” return for 2019-20 season

After the success of floodlit fixtures during the last campaign, Hartpury University RFC will again play a number of matches on Friday evenings throughout the 2019-20 season.

The first evening kick-off will be our Championship match versus Nottingham on October 25th, followed by the London Scottish fixture on November 6th.

We then welcome the Newcastle Falcons for a Championship Cup game on November 29th (ko 8pm), before two further league matches under the lights, versus Ampthill on February 28th, 2020 and Cornish Pirates on March 27th.

All Friday fixtures will kick off at 7.45pm, except where stated above.

You can now access the full list of league and cup fixtures, with kick off times, here.

  1. Is it still ‘The Gillman Ground?’

  2. Is the name of the championship side now ‘Hartpury University RFC?’

  3. Stuart…

Thank you for your questions. Yes, we will be playing as Hartpury University RFC in the new season and going forward.

Additionally, we are massively grateful to Gillman’s for their outstanding support as principal sponsors in recent years. However, there will be a change for the 2019-20 season which will affect the naming of our home ground and we look forward to formally announcing the details of this prior to the start of competitive fixtures.
