Hartpury are able to name a relatively settled side ahead of tomorrow’s game with Richmond. Following last week’s successful trip to Ampthill, a small number of players are needed elsewhere, otherwise the club has a reasonably clean bill of health going into Round 10.
Co-skipper JB Bruzulier and prop Jono Benz-Salomon are both injured, while Jack Tovey has been unwell this week and was not considered.
Having made an excellent first start on his return from injury last week, Oli Robinson (pictured) moves from blindside to his preferred Number 8 jersey. He and Harry Short will be joined in the back row by James Dun, who performed well off the bench at Ampthill.
The second row sees a rotational change, with James Scott starting and Dale Lemon among the impact players.
In the front row, Conor Maguire – another to have had an impressive second half last Saturday, both in the set-piece and the loose – is restored to the starting line-up.
The backs are unchanged, except for inclusion of winger Mat McNab who will be making his first Championship start, having had two runs as a replacement. Congratulations to the Zimbabwean international and postgraduate student.
On the bench, Ciaran Knight comes back in alongside cousin Shaun as the second replacement prop, while Xavier Hastings is also included as Hartpury switch to a 6:2 split.
The match is the first half of a fantastic double-header at the Alpas tomorrow. At 4.30pm, Gloucester-Hartpury WRFC will face Loughborough Lightning in the Allianz Premier XVs. The women’s game is free of charge.
